Questionnaire builder
Estudios de Mercado I · Tema 5 — Questionnaire builder worksheet
You design it, the AI drafts it. Start from a topic or from your qualitative results, decide what you need to learn and the analysis for each line, set the order, the length, the scales and every check — and the builder writes the prompt that makes Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini draft the questionnaire. Then you check it in the question checker and pilot it.
What this practical is for
To go through the design process of 5.2 — objectives → information needed → analysis → questions → order → pretest — on your own project. The AI writes the first draft; you make every design decision and judge the result. What is marked is your decisions, not the AI's text.
What you will do
Step 1 — came from the scale studio? Your project is already here (steps 1 and 3 filled in) — check it. If not, write your project topic, client and decision. Either way you can also upload your qualitative results (Tema 3): the survey will measure how widespread each theme is.10 min
Step 2 — say who answers, how, and fix the number of questions.5 min
Step 3 — what you need to learn and the analysis for each line. Your scale-studio concepts arrive here with their scale; add the other things the survey must find out.10 min
Steps 4–6 — decide the order of the sections, the formats and scales allowed, and tick the checks the questionnaire must pass.10 min
Step 7 — copy the prompt into Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini and paste the answer back.5 min
Step 8 — read the draft critically: what you change, cut or add, and why. Declare the AI use. Download the PDF, then press Check it in the question checker.15 min
What you hand in
The PDF: your brief, information needs + analysis, order and checks.
The AI draft.
Your changes with reasons, and the AI declaration.
How it is marked
Every question maps to an information need and an analysis.
Order and length are defended.
The quality of your judgement on the AI draft — accepting it unchanged scores low.
Before → the scale studio sends your project and concepts here. Next →Check it in the question checker (step 7) sends the checker your questionnaire, your topic and your analysis plan — nothing to retype.

1 Where do you start from?
A survey usually quantifies what a qualitative study found: how widespread is each theme, how strong, in which segment? Upload your qualitative results if you have them — otherwise start from the topic.
2 Who answers, how, and how long
Response rate falls with every extra question. Set the length now — the AI must stick to it.
3 What you need to learn — and the analysis for each line
5.2 steps 2–3: one line per thing you must learn (information, not questions yet), and what you will do with it. The analysis decides the scale. Concepts sent from the scale studio arrive here with the scale you chose — the AI must use it.
4 Order of the questionnaire
Switch sections on or off and move them. The default is the structure in 5.2 — if you change it, you should be able to say why.
Ordering rules
5 Question types and scales
Which formats may the AI use? It must still pick, for each question, the one that fits the analysis in step 3.
6 The checks the questionnaire must pass
Everything ticked goes into the prompt as a requirement — and the AI must audit its own draft against each one.
7 Get the draft from the AI
The prompt below carries every decision you made. Paste it into a new chat (attach your qualitative file there too if it is long). The answer comes in parts A–D: design table, the questionnaire, a self-audit and a pretest plan.
The AI drafted it; the questionnaire is yours. What did you keep, change or cut, and why? Declare the AI use (guía docente).
